I Need Your Help

It's been a very long time since I've had to pack a lunch every day.

That might seem hard to believe, but with this and that it's true.
Today is the day I need to return to thinking ahead about exciting and healthy lunch items.

This is what I've packed for today:
Half a big carrot and zucchini to be dipped in some homemade hummus, along with a few crackers and grapes.
I think I might throw a banana or apple in there as well, for an afternoon snack just in case this is not enough.

I'm at a bit of a loss for what else to bring, and I could really use your help with suggestions.

1. I like to eat lightly during a workday because sometimes I get stomach aches :-(
I also want it to be healthy, with just enough calories to get me through the day but no excess.

2. Some ideas I have so far include yogurts with cereal and fruit, leftover soup from a big pot the night before, more crackers and mozzarella cheese sticks.

3. Any ideas on something genius to do with more hummus so it doesn't get boring?

I'm so grateful for any and all ideas; thanks!! Wish me luck today.

Hi!
Homemade granola bars (without the sugar).
Hummous with a pita, instead of veggies, or pita chips
nuts or trail mix
celery with peanut butter or cream cheese
Leftovers
Salad, veggie, pasta, couscous, etc.
I am a believer in over packing for lunches, because I would rather eat what I bring from home than feel tempted to indulge in something not so healthy.
Good luck!

Hi Sarah,

I saw you made the hummus, so I suggest trying other bean dip/spreads. Other suggestions:

salads with beans or edamame
small portion of dinner leftovers
english muffins with nut butters
yogurt with fruit and granola and/or nuts.

Good luck.

Also, I LOVE that bag. Is it your lunch bag? Please share.

Fruit salad (even just an apple, banana and grapes) - I like cut fruit because I can eat it with a fork at my desk, and it's much less messy.
Toasted english muffin with hummus - a change from crackers.

Good luck with whatever your day brings you!

Bagged salad mix with Tuna Pouch! It's the PERFECT work lunch cuz it's light and full of Omega 3 and protein! :)

Hey girl, my usual lunches:

frozen vegi mixes sprinkled with chili powder to heat up (edamame, corn, peas, green beans, etc)

Sweet potatos- easy to microwave!

yogurts with suite apple pie granola ;)

soups! Make a big pot over the weekend and bring it every day.

I pack my lunch every day and I really like everyone else's suggestions. Some others...
salad- I make an extra one the night before when I'm making dinner
cheese and WW crackers
veggies to heat up (even frozen works) and put in a WW pita

When I know I have a busy afternoon and need something to hold me without any risk of tummy issues I turn to my old friend PB&J. Works every time.
